A recent study revealed that $45 of every $100 spent at a locally-owned business stayed in the local economy.  Only $14 of that same $100 spent at a chain store stays in the community. When money is spent online, nothing comes home! The numbers speak for themselves when it comes to which choice will help strengthen our local economy!

 

The Newport County Discount Book is a new yearly membership book created by the Newport County Dinner Club and the Local Independents of Newport County (LINC).  LINC is a local non-profit organization whose membership consists of locally-owned, independent businesses and supportive citizens who are working together to strengthen our local economy and preserve the unique character of our community.  This book was created to promote local business in Newport County.  The book offers discounts to over 35 locally owned  businesses in the Newport County community.   Discounts vary but range from 15% to buy one get one free at many local businesses.
